Based On The Pci Bus Dsp Data Acquisition System Design

DSP, in the technology of digital signal processing, has become the symbol of digital signal processor because of powerful ability in digital operation; PCI local bus also has become artery bus because of its excellent performance, low cost and software compatibility. This dissertation research the design of data acquisition system based on PCI local bus and DSP.The core of data acquisition system based on PCI local bus and DSP is the chip of digital signal processor. Digital signal processor can not only finish data acquisition but digital filtering and compress by software extension. Signal firstly is converted into digital signal in the serial analog-to-digital converter. The digital signal is transmitted DSP by the multi-channel buffered serial port (McBSP) and disposed simply, then storage the area which the host can access, lastly transmitted personal computer by PCI local bus and showed.The dissertation introduces the development status of the DSP technique and PCI local bus, the PCI local bus specification and key technology in the operation of the PCI local bus; and researches the hardware design of the data acquisition system based on PCI local bus and DSP technique which realizes: 1) the conversion from analog signal to digital signal by the TLV1572 analog-to-digital converter; 2) acquisition and disposal of datas by TMS320VC5416 digital signal processor; 3) the PCI local bus protocol by the PCI2040 which is special apply to the interface between DSP and PCI local bus. The TLV1572, TMS320VC5416 and PCI2040 are made in the Texsas Instruments Co.As we know, hardware can work only co-operated with the software, so the design of the device driver is a very important part. The paper describes the composition of WDM driver patter in the windows 2000 operation system, the tools of device driver and the key techniques in the development device driver based on actual hardware.Lastly, the article developments the application program in the windows 2000 operation system, so that realized the show of data and configuration of the correlation register.
