With concerns about energy consumption and environmental protection heightened, the market scale of frequency converter, which has remarkable energy-conservation effect, is growing huger and huger. However, the made-in-China frequency converters only capture 25% domestic market share now, for the reason kernel components in frequency converters have still had to be input from other countries. Using SoPC technology to develop kernel control chip is one of the effective solutions to solve this problem.This paper presents how to realize 3-phase AC motor voltage space vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM) control based on SoPC and SVPWM IP. First of all, this paper make summary that the principle and method carried out of SVPWM, then puts up with optimized SVPWM via reduction of the number of switches, and at the same time, introduces a series of simulation testing via MATLAB/Simulink. Secondly, this paper introduces the principle and methods of how to realize SoPC in brief; based on SVPWM principle and using Spartan-IIE series XC2S300E chip and TSK3000A soft MCU core, a frequency conversion platform, which realizes SVPWM control, was designed and developed. The function of software and hardware of AC motor SVPWM control system, and the implements of its soft hardware modules are all presented in this paper. Obviously, the VHDL hardware designation method of SVPWM IP (MCU peripheral equipment) will be presented in detail.Finally, relative experiments of 3-phase AC motor SVPWM open-loop control are achieved using this experiment platform,the testing result of system comes to the request designed.
