As a kind of dedicated communication technology, GSM-R has been more and more comprehensively used for railway. It promotes the development of railway industry for each country. GPRS packet switch data service is available in the GSM-R network which is superior in data transfers. The construction of GSM-R network in China has been wildly developed along with our railway the fast step. Da-Chin (Da Tong to Qin Huangdao) railway is one of the earliest lines based on GSM-R network. Through lengthen group and multi-locomotives traction, Da-Chin railway synchronous control system has successfully implemented 20 thousand ton running. It highly promoted the annual transportation. At the same time, the successful implementation of Da-Chin GSM-R network accumulates experience for other railway communication construction. The thesis, aims at prophase drive test and anaphase maintenance, brings forward the project of GPRS remote maintenance. This project will offer convenient and effective measure.The first chapter introduces the development and base conception of GSM-R, and the GPRS application in China railway. It is the overview of Synchronous Control System on Multi-locomotives, and gives the introduction of GPRS remote monitor system.The second chapter gives an introduction of the GSM-R and GPRS network. The comparison of data transfers between circuit and packet switch data service.The third chapter gives a thorough analysis of the principles and architecture for Synchronous Control System on Multi-locomotives.The fourth chapter discusses the conception and design project of remote monitor system, and gives analysis and conclusion of the laboratory test.The last chapter also draws a conclusion and points out the fields for further study.
