One of the keys of network planning and design is an optimization model which is set up the network. Optimizing the network need analyze the network performances, the purpose is we can effectively design, simulation running environment of network before beginning in networking; obtain the network performances before the network implements in order to optimize the structure of network , improve network performance , save users to make the investment. Analysis and appraisal of network performance are prerequisites of the network; carry on an indispensable step of network planning too.With the development of computer technology, network simulation has already become an effective tool to analyze the complicated systems and an important work of network design and appraised to network performances. As one of the methods of researching in network, network simulation's range of application is confined to agreement simulation, but the efforts aren't still enough in analyze of systematic function index, auxiliary network design, every stages of construction. NS-2 has a strong function of network simulation.
