Through the rapid development of 3G technology and improvement of wireless communication protocol, many service providers and mobile users pay more attention to the data value added services. Although mobile streaming media is a new service, which it plays an important role.Based on the above, this paper analyses the platform of mobile streaming media service, and the research work mentioned in this paper is mainly about:1. Analyse the standard and system structure of 3GIntroduce the main contributes of 3G, analyse three central standard of 3G, that is WCDMA CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA, point out their advantages and disadvantages, compare the main parameter of them. Analyse the system structure of 3GPP R5 and constituent function of it.2. Establish the platform of mobile streaming mediaIntroduce the key technology basic theory and transmission flow of mobile streaming media system, analyses system structure of it, discuss conversational process, put forward two key technologies to content the need of streaming media server, which is the work process of streaming media protocol(including RTP RTCP RTSP SDP RSVP) and QoS control tactic based on application layer.3. Design "the query system of train timetable"Regarding the practical part, I designed the query system for train timetable, which is an application of short message value added service. It introduce the design goal, hardware system constitution software system constitution the system operation flow correlation protocol methods of sending and receiving messages and the methods of query.
