The Research Of Federation Observation Method And Design Of Tool Based On Simulation System Of HLA

With the rapid development of distributed simulation technique based on the HLA(High Level Architecture) standard, it is an necessity to construct a Integrated Environment of Modeling and Simulation. So that we can make the research on simulation system based on HLA more modularized, standardized and systematized. The research of Federation Observeration method and tool is an important part in the construction of the Integrated Environment Of Modeling and Sinulation. The paper presents the conception of Federation Observation, and the research and realization of Federation Observation has been carried on under the frame of the construction of Integrated Environment of Modeling and Simulation.This paper describes the conception of Federation Observation, and gives the limitations of realization. It studies the way of realizing the Federation Observation by the limitations and contrives the GSDC(General Simulation Data Collect) technique. This technique achieves the functions of Federation Observation under the principle of modularization. And the technique can be applied in the study of other simulation tools.This paper extends the functions of Federation Observation by the GSDC technique. It realizes a General Situation Displaying system. The system used the Military Graphic System to be the display module, and the simulation data observed by GSDC technique is used to be the data source. It obtains the general ability, as the demand of Federation Observation. Thus, the display of situation is easy and the system can be used in many other federations. Moreover, a general database import technique is designed to deal with the data file collected by Federation Observation. It transfers the data stored as the object structure to the Relationship Database.By these processes, it attains the automatic procedure on simulation data from accquiring to dealing with. As the principal need of Federation Observation, the procedure does not confine in any specified federation. It can be used in common simulation application.The realization of Federation Observation is accomplished based on the technique mentioned before. The Federation Observation tool is a part of Integrated Environment of Modeling and Simulation. As the demand of designation and the modularization, it realized the configure module, data observe module, data collect module, simulation replay module, situation display module and database import module. The paper describes the functions of these modules and tests them by the test federation. From application, the tool has been proved having well-organized structure, Comprehensive functions and steadily reliable performance.
