Study On Expert System Based On JSR-94 & Jess

The thesis introducted some key techniques of expert system, such as java rule engine, expert system language Jess, as well as pattern matching algorithm Rete. Subsequently presented an expert system based on the technique above: automobile engine fault diagnosis expert system. Finally, introduced web expert system based on MVC architecture and J2EE platform.This paper is composed of six chapters following:Chapter 1: The chapter introduced the development of expert system in China and foreign country. Then the chapter presented the development background and creative point of automobile engine fault diagnosis expert system.Chapter 2: The chapter introduced international standard of rule engine-JSR-94 and the concept of rule engine and establishment, architecture, security mechanism of JSR-94.Chapter 3: Jess (Java Expert System Shell) — the Reference realization of JSR-94 is described in this chapter. Including the essential constitution, knowledge representation and development envirement is presented. The mechanism of Expert system development tool Jess is emphasized subsequently.Chapter 4: The chapter introduced the concept of pattern matching and investigated presentation, theory, and matching network architecture of the pattern matches algorithm, Rete.Chapter 5: The chapter discussed an automobile engine fault diagnosis expert system based on Java Rule Engine. The system knowledge repository adopts a method of combined object-oriented of knowledge representation with the production rule representation. According to the fault information inputted by user, the faults of the automobile engine are diagnosed. The chapter also discussed the knowledge representation and Java Rule Engine in detail. We can construct an expert system framework quickly with these techniques.Chapter 6: The chapter summarized these techenologies above and prospected the web expert system based on J2EE platform.
