Research On Web Information Searching Based On Mobile Agent

Along with the rapid development and popularization of internet technology, people's study and work is more and more dependent on internet. People want to gain all kinds of information resources which they need through the internet in order to provide convenience for their study and work. To get the information needed accurately, a web search tool is necessary. However with the fast expansion of information and sharp increase of network user, the development speed of network bandwidth can not keep up with the increasing speed of network user, so inefficient search technology has aggravated network obstruction, and has become the important factor that restricts the development of network information service. The emergence of mobile agent technology has brought a new revolutionary method for solving web information search problem.This thesis firstly introduces the conception of mobile agent, the architecture and technique of mobile agent, discusses the security problem of mobile agent system and its solutions, and analyses and compares several typical mobile agent platforms. And then the drawbacks of traditional web information search mode is analyzed and summarized in this paper. On this basis, the mobile agent technology is further analyzed and studied. Accordingly, a kind of new-type web information search mode utilizing mobile agent technology is constructed. An experimental system is developed to prove whether it can reach the anticipated target. The mobile agent platform "Aglet" of IBM Company is used when the searching system is designed and implemented, and Java is used as developing language because of its platform irrelevancy and portability.Applying mobile agent technology to realize the web information search system can save much network bandwidth, and when mobile agent runs on the server, it doesn't need the persistent connection with client server, so it has much flexibility and reliability.
