Mobile Agent-based Distributed Database Access

The agent technology was originated from the field, the mobile agent technology is the result of the AI technology combined with network technology, it has proved that introduce agent technology in distributed data base administration, can make the DBB more autonomy, transparency and sharing, and it can reduce the network width occupancy and time prolong.With analyzing the mobile agent technology in details, this paper puts more emphasis on the mobile agent the system model, communication mechanism and security mechanism, then the system structure of the distributed database is to be presented. On the bases of discussing the advantages and key technology to access DDB through the mobile agent technology, the writer has utilized mobile agent technology design distributed data base system in the subsystem of information management of military supplies of some armed division, and has realized mobile agent visit to distributed data base under IBM Aglet development environment.
