I'he aviation weather service is very important for the civil aviation security. In the recent years, the aerial meteorology progresses much in our country, so that the weather information augments, the service objects increases and the service level advances. Along with the tremendous development of civil aviation in our country, the flight amount and new airports increase times, so the aviation weather service confronts very high demands. The "Distributed Aviation Weather Information Service System" designed in this thesis uses the popular B/S (Browser/Server) software framework system combined with advanced and matured network, middleware and the module technology. Its network operation system is Windows Server 2000/2003, its development platform is Microsoft .NET and Borland Delphi, its development language is Delphi and C#, and its background database is SQL Server 2000. This system can be used in all the aviation weather services, such as user managing, message searching, weather plot or fax browsing and printing, satellite nephogram displaying, AWOS data displaying, radar echo charts displaying, flight document making, and other service mode. This thesis presents the design and implement procedure of the distributed aviation weather information service system, and is divided in 4 chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the background and significance of the system, the actualities and development directions of the aviation weather service in our country, and a brief instance of the system. Chapter2 expatiates the main principles and technologies used in the distributed aviation weather information service system. In this chapter, the concepts, formations and advantages of the distributed system are explained atfirst, and then the characteristics of the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database management system is analyzed, and its comparison with other databases is carried out as well. Because Borland Delphi6 and Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2003 are platforms of this system, they are explained briefly in the context. In the end of this chapter, the two development languages used in this system, Delphi and C# , are presented. In chapter 3, we analyze carefully the demands of the distributed system, describe detailedly the system framework design, the module design and the database design of the system, and explain the database table in detail. Chapter 4 expatiates the establishment of the database and the implement of the main functions and the application layers. The program codes are offered and the demonstration is carried out.
