In Beyond3G wireless communication system a series of latest technologies such as smart antenna, multi-carrier modulation, software-defined radio, MIMO space-time coding have been widely adopted. The arithmetic intricacy and transmission capability of the latest systems will get greatly increased. How to provide a kind of intra-connection architecture with high efficiency, broad bandwidth and high flexibility becomes a most challenging issue in B3G system. Based on the above considerations, this paper analyzes the architecture of B3G TDD wireless communication system and presents a flexible switched serial intra-connect bus architecture. The method of research mainly focuses on the following two aspects: (1) Firstly, the paper imports Advanced Telecom Computer Architecture (ATCA) into B3G TDD system platform, and adopts topological architecture of full-mesh to realize the intra-connection among processing modules of B3G TDD system. Compared with former communication systems, the processing ability of B3G single board is much stronger. Along with the increasing of processing ability, it is important to adopt new system architecture to satisfy the system require of stability, power waste and cooling. ATCA architecture can reduce the complexity of system design, optimize system architecture, increase system stability, and refine system modularization which benefits to the expansion and update of the system. (2) The adoption of RocketIO Gigabit Serial Interface,whose bandwidth is as high as 3.125Gbps,as fabric interfaces of ATCA is an innovation of this paper. By this method, the problem of high speed intra-connection among B3G TDD modules has been solved, making the research and development of B3G system more effective, and reducing the coupling level between each B3G TDD modules which makes the system easy to be realized and debugged.
