The growth momentum of television talk show is swift and violent in recent years because of its unique program type advantage. At present, although the quantity of television talk show in our country is huge, the competition with quality is serious, the integral quality is still wandering up and down the low ebb because of lacking of the recognition of the rival, lacking of the analysis of the competitive environment, lacking of the guidance of the effective competition strategy.Being faced with the current situation, the thesis puts forward the idea of introducing the competitive strategy into the television talk show program. The purpose of the idea is to provide a widely used form to guide television talk show how to participate in the competition, to choose the goal of the competition, to adopt the effective policy in the process of carrying out the goal, to achieve the goal of getting the best market position, getting the sources of audience to the maximum extent during the competition. The thesis introduces the method of competitive strategy analysis for television talk show: the mode of SWOT, discusses the application of the generic competitive strategy in the television talk show, and explains in details by combining the cases how television talk show analyze the strategy by using the mode of SWOT, and make the effective competitive strategy on the basis of the strategy analysis.
