| Rural issues have existing and being extensively attended in China for a long time. This paper, taking the peasant'representation in the CCTV-ⅠSpring Festival Gala since 1983 as an object of study, which based on the new perspective of historical criticism, combining the media critical theory of ideology and the content analysis of communication experience, and discusses the peasant consisting of a mission statement, physical appearance, identity, discourse power. Comprehensively analysis the general and the historically characteristics of the representation of peasant described by text and images, to make an inquiry into the interaction between the image file of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala and the history of Chinese society, namely the intrinsic relationship among history, narration and memory, to approach the production mechanism of significance and the operation mechanism of power which hidden in the TV image file。The researching date, from the 95-related programs and images of 137 farmers, indicates that the CCTV Spring Festival Gala which has a prominent influence on our country is a low degree of representation and a tendentious representation. Peasant in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala is the harmonious imagination of the real farmers, which is not able to truly reflect the social status, the voice of farmers in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala follows the disciplines of the voice of the country. Under the appearance of consultation between the voice of farmers and that of the country, the image of farmers completely becomes the representation of harmonious imagination in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, and follows the national discourse and the grand national narration. So the peasant'representation in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala entirely becomes the effective suture measures. In other words, the representation of farmers in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala is not real, sufficient, and is the clear pattern with a tendency, which is the representation of the unequal political power relations and the discourse power relations. This paper uses the content analysis to do the coding-related programs, statistic to the programs of the representation of the peasant'representation among the 29 the CCTV Spring Festival Gala and select the 2008's CCTV Spring Festival Gala as a case to analysis these programs. Analysis results and the overall sample analysis results are consistent. From the special influence, commercial media and other points of the representation of the representation of peasant in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the author explore the reasons why the representation of peasant in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala deviates.
