With the rise and development of the third generation of mobile communication technology, data value-added service requirements is becoming bigger than it was and service packages and forms of service is becoming increasingly diverse while customers are getting accustomed to and then accept and even use service offered by mobile operators. Since the second generation of mobile communication, mobile operators have been involved in family-oriented service, which is usually sode as a service package. Nowadays, family-oriented service is not mature enough whose market is still relatively abundant. There is still much areas to be imporved or expanded. Domestic and overseas market of digital photo frames was started rather late late and market share is relatively small, which mainly due to single function for photo showing as a screen though maybe there is backgourd music added to the atmosphere, and is lack of networking connection and could just use data lines for content storage. As a specific form of family-oriented service, digital photo frame has certain advantages but also needs to be coupled with many value-added services. However, not everyone should own a digital photo frame. Usually, it is enough for a family owning one or more digital photo frames whose mobility is weak. In order to attract more cumtomers and explore more market, it is necessary that image sharing should be delt well with along with value-added services, such as access of wireless internet, weather forecast, schedule and calendar, e-books and so on. Wireless digital photo frame is combination product of mobile service and traditional digital photo frame. Wireless communication has brought innovative changes to digital photo frame and provided a variety of value-added services. Platform of wireless digital photo frame is an integrated platform, which manages terminals, support access capability with back-end platform and operation loading capacity of related services. There are four entities, namely core back-end service logic, web portal, wireless digital photo frame terminals and mobile client program. Implemetation of core back-end service logic is based on integrated data platform (IDP). Web portal is a user-oriented and the most intuitive and convenient for using part, which invokes functions or interfaces of core back-end service logic to complete services undertaken by web portal.This paper focuses on discusstion of the subsystem called web portal of wireless digital phto fram platform. The first chapter introduces family-oriented service and wireless digital photo frame service. In chapter two, there is overview of wireless digital photo frame, analysis of the platform logic and significance of web portal in platform. Chapter three describes design and implementation of web portal, mainly states technology selection of web portal, including specific technologies for management portal and user portal, and elaborates design and implementation of management portal and user portal. The fourth chapter research and analyse four difficulties encountered in the process of web portal development, and illustrates solutions and implementation of the key technologies like image processing, image storage, message queue, routing rewriting etc. The final part of the paper summarizes the whole paper working.
