Consumerism form of information dissemination in today's context one of the important environmental, information dissemination process and the process of audience consumption is an organic unity. Entertainment gossip is an important form of consumption, which is consistent with the four features in the mass media, entertainment requirements and also meet the audience on the entertainment quality and quantity of information needs, while meeting the media and rumors related to human transmission demands, more importantly, entertainment gossip to meet the information demand of the status of the production process, which in today's time there is still a necessity.This paper argues that the current entertainment gossip exists, the fundamental reason is that entertainment and information between supply and demand in the production process. In the consumer age, mass media entertainment production cannot keep up the amount of volume and speed of information the audience needs to lead to the production of entertainment gossip; In addition, entertainment, gossip and information generated in the production process but also the will and efforts of journalists, audience's attitude and emotional factors are closely related. Entertainment gossip entertainment for audiences to meet the psychological, to the parties for the stars and bring some visibility and exposure, and be able to give entertainment and cultural industries and the media bring some economic benefits, so it can always existed.However, because there is no entertainment gossip be proved by the news, is essentially a rumor, and therefore may have a negative effect. Rumors of current information because the production process there is a certain necessity, but there may be many negative role in the case of rumors can not be removed, to rumor control limits can be tolerated in the audience, therefore, the need for rumor control.
