Wireless Monitoring Security Systems Based On The ZigBee Protocol

Nowadays wired building monitoring systems are used widely. All cameras and the control room are connected by the lines in the building. This installation method is also difficult to manipulate cumbersome. After the comparison of transmission distance, transmission speed, cost, and many other integrated comprehensive, ZigBee wireless protocol is select and put to use.Because transmission speed of the wireless transmission is slower than that of wire transmission, we woule try to shorten the transmission distance and data transmission for filling this gap. Monitoring nodes could be placed anywhere of the building. On the local server, improved GA (genetic algorithm) is used for calculate the communication between all points of the shortest transmission path. At the same time, the amount of data transferred should be reduced. After getting de image data from HQ7620, the data is compressed with Improved Huffman coding. After that operation, the Image data will be greatly reduced, then, the compressed data is transmitted to the local server according to ZigBee wireless protocol. At last, LabVIEW virtual instrument is used to complete decompression of image data and program the graphic interface on the local server, and do image recognition through restored image data simultaneously. Besides monitor room there is also a handheld devices for monitoring at the same time, so that the monitoring staff can move around out of the monitor room.After the actual testing, the result is ideal. The reliability of the wireless transceiver meet the needs of the system function. The image is clear to play a monitoring role. The camera can be put everywhere if only they were within the constraints range of the wireless signal, the network deployment is convenient and swift.
