Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Upper Limb Edema After Breast Cancer Treated By

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to evaluate objectively the clinical effect of Blood-letting and cupping for breast cancer related lymphoedema, and to provide a convenient and reliable Chinese medicine treatment program for patients.MethodsDivided randomly 75 patients of breast cancer related lymphoedema into two groups,25 cases in the control group,50 cases in the treatment group. The treatment group was treated with blood-letting and cupping and upper limb functional exercises,the control group were treated with upper limb function exercises only. Two groups treatment cycles are 50 days, the upper limb functional training exercises is exercised every day,30 minutes each time;The treatment group every 5 days for a blood-letting blood and cupping,a total of 10 treatments. The changes of limb circumference, shoulder joint activity, limb pain and quality of life were observed before and after treatment. All the research data and results were calculated and analyzed by using SPSS20.0 statistical software. If P< 0.05, the difference was statistically significant.Resultsthe clinical curative effect of 50 days of observation, the two groups after treatment arm circumference and the difference between the mean P< 0.05, the difference was statistically significant, the treatment group average arm circumference decreased 1.21cm, the control group average arm circumference decreased 0.58cm, the efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group; patients with 10cm limb wrist horizontal grain and wrist stripes, comparison between groups and the mean difference was statistically significant in the treatment group, the two arm circumference reduced significantly compared with the control group; in improving the activity of shoulder joint function, comparison between groups P> 0.05, no difference between the two groups; however, the two groups before and after treatment in the group, four angles the activities were improved, the difference was statistically significant; in improving pain, cupping can effectively relieve lymphedema caused by limb pain; in terms of quality of life, treatment group compared with the control group After treatment, the total score of P, QOL< 0.05, the difference was statistically significant, which showed that the treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the quality of life of patients. And improve the quality of life embodied in the "sleep", "fatigue", "pain" three aspects; safety evaluation, the two groups of patients were not adverse events.ConclusionPricking cupping method can effectively alleviate the limb edema, Particularly for prominent curative effect to reduce the forearm edema.It can effectively improve shoulder activity degree as well,which can more effectively relieve upper limb lymph edema caused by physical pain,Besides,it also can improve the quality of life of patients, through acupuncture cupping method. There is credible application of treating upper limb edema after breast cancer which has the advantages of simple operation, low cost, high safety, and is easy to be accepted by patients.
