Comparison Of The Efficacy Of Single - Hole And Multi - Acupoint Application In The Treatment Of Primary Dysmenorrhea

Objective:To study the single acupoint with many acupoints were applied efficacy for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea and clear-out the curative effect of tow or more acupoints by used cooperatively is better than the effect what just used single acupoint.Methods:In this study, we recruited 94 patients primary in the diagnosis of dysmenorrhea from September 2015 to January 2016.According to the random number table method,94 patients were randomly divided into two groups,49 patients in the treatment group and 45 in the control group.Treatment group sticking on the Guanyuan and Sanyinjiao(both lower extremities).Control group sticking on Guanyuan only.Treat them in 1-3 days of the menstrual cycle.Treatment time was 6 hours daily for each group.One menstrual cycle is 1 treatment course. Clinical observation was done for 3 menstrual cycles.Evaluating the curative effect after 3 menstrual cycles by using Pictorial Blood Loss Assessment Chart、 Integrative Pain Scales、Dysmenorrhea Symptoms Scale and the Cox Menstrual Symptom Scale.Results:In the course of treatment,4 subjects of treatment group falled out as a result of having low temperature keenlied feel to scald (adverse event rate is 4.26%).So,the the final number of experimental subjects is 90,the treatment group 45 people, the control group of 45 people. ①Comparison of baseline:Baseline is comparable (P>0.05), there was no statistically significant difference. ②Evaluations of the improve in menstrual volume and amount of blood clots:Two groups in the menstrual volume (both before the treatment and after the final treatment), scores were no significant difference compared (P>0.05).In addition, the number of different grademenstrual volume were no significant difference compared(P>0.05); The treatment group also have certain advantages in regulating menstruation and improving the amount of blood clot situation in visually.But, the scores were no significant difference compared (P>0.05)by the statistical analysis. ③ Improvement of dysmenorrhea:Two groups in participants’ degree of dysmenorrhea abdominal pain and overall situation of dysmenorrhea group,scores of pre-and post-treatment were significantly lower in the former(P<0.05),but the comparison between groups are all P>0.05, there was no statistically significant difference.④Improvement of accompany symptoms:Most accompany symptoms of pre-and post-treatment were significantly lower in the former(P< 0.05) both the two groups. The statistical difference before and agter treatment was significant. The treatment group also have certain advantages in relieving the spleen-stomach symptoms of patients with PD.But difference was no statistically significant(P>0.05). ⑤ Analysis of effective percentage:The differences of two groups have no statistically significant in the effective percentages of dysmenorrhea abdominal pain and overall situation by chi-square test(P>0.05).⑥Evaluations of curative effect in different syndrome types: The curative effect of all other syndromes in the the two groups is significant except the one person with Damp-heat and Blood Stasis Syndrome in control group. The curative effect of Excessive Syndrome of treatment group was stronger than that of the control group. And the treatment group was better than the treatment group in treating Deficiency Syndrom.But the differences have no statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The two groups could significantly reduce blood clots 、obviously alleviate dysmenorrhea pain> improve overall situationand of dysmenorrhea and accompanying symptoms. And the curative effects of the two groups were neck to neck.It means that, whether sticking on Guanyuan or sticking on Guanyuan and Sanyinjiao (both lower extremities) can significantly reduce the pain degree and improve the overall situation of dysmenorrhea and accompanying symptoms, and the degree of curative effects has nothing to do with the numbers of acupoint.
