Chinese Research On The Critical Theory About Mass Media Of The Frankful School

The thesis picks up three important points of the critical theory about mass media of the Frankful School :mass media and social mentality, mass media and ideology control, mass media and "Culture Industry". Members of the Frankful School pointed out that: monopoly capitalists were controlling people's mentality, even the whole society. At the same time, depravation of culture, dissimilation of human nature and so on, keep up with "Culture Industry" that connected with the development of mass media. Today, that discuss is illuminating for us when we think of some problems on mass media, such as how to lead social mentality, ideology propaganda, industrial development of culture. The thesis try to explore that illumination.
