Research Of Production Planning System Of Special-Steel Enterprise

China has been a big steel country, but its equipment and management still lagged behind. And the special-steel industry is facing tremendous change, such as more varieties, shorter run, higher quality require, delivering goods on time and offering higher quality after service. So, we must develop the equipment and management to excavate its enormous potentiality, raise its benefit, and make our country become a powerful steel country.Production planning management is the core to develop management level, but now most special-steel enterprises arrange their production plan by hand, which are unscientific. The main problems are: With lots of temporary contracts, the month plan is inaccurate; Lacks of overall control over real production condition; The plan is rough and feedback is not in time, and the plants' information interchange is not smooth, which leads production blind, etc. How to design a practical production planning system to improve the production planning management level is the paper's main task.The main contents of the paper are as follows:(1) Based on the research of production module and organization module of special-steel enterprise, combined advanced management theories such as ERPs MES JIT, the paper brings forward a production planning strategy with three-layer plan and three-layer schedule, and designs the production planning system which integrated ERP and MES.(2) Using modeling tool UML and OOP, the paper analyzes the system functions, and builds the structure and prototype of production planning system of special-steel enterprise based on the integration of ERP and MES.(3) Using advanced J2EE framework and combining the enterprise's characteristic, putting the above citied prototype into practice, the production planning system of Dongbei Special-Steel Enterprise is developed.The special-steel enterprise's production planning system is very complex and difficulty to develop. This system is built on detailed research, adopts the most advanced management theories ERP and MES, and draws lessons from the successful case of same trade. The system is practical, and it efficiently resolves the enterprise's production plan problems. Now it is in test run stage, and reacts well. The framework is also a reference to the information-based system of the same type enterprises.
