Speaking about dialogue, we mainly have Habermas's theory in mind. He thought that the universe develops not through the struggle of the opposites, but through peaceful unification, or the synthesis of complementary elements. Dialogue is assumed as a model of reasoning between "I" and "You" that stresses not on the antagonistic character of contradiction, but - by emphasizing something which is common in opposing views - seeks compromise. And one can easily trace the course of development of the theory of dialogue from ancient Greek. This basic term is derived from "dia" (through) and "logos" (word, speech, utterance, thought). But these features are not present in our reality. The dialogue of concession and compromise was more frequently replaced by the struggle of opposites. The ideal of direct "face-to-face" communication, which urges people to replace the objectified "I-It" relations with the authentic "I-You" bonds, appears to be problematic as a supreme goal or a highly desirable value. According to the post-modernity philosophers, the emergence of a dialogical community of "free, rational beings" is not conditioned by good will, but by "ill will". As a consequence, the talk show is host-centered, forged in the present tense, spontaneous but structured, churned out within the strict formulas and designed to play to the hottest topics of the day.In the 4th part, we primarily discuss about some limitations in the theory of...
