Development of 6.5-Digital Multimeter VXIbus Module has been researched in the thesis. Digital Multimeter Module is one of the most basic modules used in VXIbus automatic test system. The research is significant for promoting the development and the application of domestic VXIbus technology. The module is a message-based module that could measure volt D.C., volt A.C., current A.C., current D.C., two-wire resistance and four-wire resistance. It has the functions of self-calibration, autorange and overload protection. After I have referred a great deal of literatures, the development status of DMM Module is first analyzed in the thesis. Then the meaning of the research is brought out. According to the technical index, we adopt single CPU, dual ADC structure. Then the thesis gives the contrasts of the module to 5.5-Digital Multimeter VXIbus Module, which is developed successfully in period of "the Ninth Five Years Plan". The measure circuit and interface circuit are analyzed individually in the thesis. Circuit block diagram of each part is given and A/D converter selection is analyzed emphatically. Two XILINX CPLD realize interface circuit that is analyzed simply. The soft panel is designed used LabWindows/CVI, which has good interface and operational performance. The drive and soft panel program is described in detail. Finally the thesis gives dissertation of CPU W77E58 used in the module and the control program. This digital multimeter module .achieves the technique target of 6.5-Digital Multimeter VXIbus Module. The research is advanced in domestic measure field. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to develop VXIbus products and satisfy domestic needs in our country.
