5.5-Digital Multimeter PXIbus Module has been researched in this paper. Digital Multimeter Module is one of the most basic and usually used test modules, which can test many general electronic signals. The importance of the DMM (Digital Multimeter Module) can be seen from the fact that almost every automatic test system should use it. So the research of the DMM based on the PXIbus interface has very important significance for the development and application of the PXIbus technology.The task of this project is to research and develop 51/2-Digital Multimeter PXIbus Module, which accords with the PXIbus criterion and PNP (plug and play) criterion, with the capacity of testing direct voltage, direct current, alternating voltage, alternating current, two-wire resistance and four-wire resistance. Further more it's also with the function of program control calibration, autorange and overload protection.First, this paper analyses the developing and researching situation of the Digital Multimeter Module in domestic and abroad, and brings out the significance of the project, on the basis of consulting many technical reference literatures. And then reasons the project according to the technical index and practice situation of the module, and fixes on the final scheme and the parts of the apparatus. The paper will also analyses the designing of test circuit and interface circuit respectively, gives the circuit diagrams of every part in the module and put emphasis on analyzing the ADC, which is the decisive role on the module's technology index. Adopting precision and broadband prepositive amplifier to integrate the AC and DC inputting channel; adopting proportional resistance integrated amplifier to predigest the scale translation circuit. The chip PCI9052, which is produced by PLX Corporation, is adopted to realize the interface circuit. The visual instrument software LabWindows/CVI, which is used in this project to design the soft panel and the driver of the module, with widely application, wonderful interface and operation performance. The paper gives detailed introduction on the driver and the soft panel program. At last, the paper will introduce the W77E58 that is the CPU of the module and the flow of the designing of the module's control program.With 5.5 technical index, this Digital Multimeter Module is up to advanced level in our country, it is the first Digital Multimeter PXI Module with 5.5 technical index in the mainland in our country and the cost is low, and at present, the number of the module is AMC4311 in the market. This design has great significance for researching and developing Digital Multimeter PXIbus Module, developing the PXI product and meeting the domestic demand.
