Comparative And Synthetic Research On Content Analysis And Bibliometrics

In intelligence analysis method, content analysis is a qualitative analysis method based on quantitative analysis, and bibliometrics is a famous quantitative analysis method. They have their respective merit or limit. At present, most intelligence studying works only adopt single method, so there are a lot of abuses and limits in analysis procedure. In order to conquer those weakness, we must combine quantative analysis method and qualitative analysis method, and apply them in the intelligence studying works to promote the efficiency of intelligence studying works and the reliability and veracity of analysis result. At first, this article gives out the definition, methodology base, study object, executing process, application scope of bibliometrics and content analysis. Then this article introduces one bibliometrics software-Lotka, and twenty-one text content analysis softwares and compares their performance in their application procedure. At last, this article puts forward a frame of Chinese text content analysis system.
