Tomato is one of the main vegetables planted in greenhouse, and its planting area and output are rather large. In actual planting , planters always have great difficulty in diagnosing the violation of diseases , pests and nutritional deficiency, and can not take measures in time , which induce reduction of output. We develop this system which aim at the above question for the first time, and give evidence to planters when they come to a decision on greenhouse management, ultimately improve the level of greenhouse management.This system mainly consists of KB, knowledge acquisition organization, DB and inference engine. The KB is made up of the rule about tomato malady diagnosing, the knowledge acquisition organization face agriculture experts , which main purpose is knowledge acquiring and modifying and expanding KB . DB is made up of the information of tomato malady and pesticide. By DB, consumers can get acquainted with tomato malady. Inference engine is used diagnosing malady depending on the input information.In the design process, we apply OOP technique, ADO technique and DB technique, and realize this system on Delphi5.0 platform. This system combine expert system and DB technique, using the mature DB technique realizes the storage and management of rule. This system's KB consists of three relating database. Inference engine is designed by SQL language, and inference result is feasible.This system's diagnosis is base on malady character. KB is founded on disease and nutritional deficiency symptom's description and pest's body character description.The results show this system can diagnosis disease, pest and nutritional deficiency which are often violate tomato planted in greenhouse. This system basically achieves the design desire.
