Content: Currently E-government is the focus of Informatization works in our country. One of the key problems of E-government is how to make the administrative approving procedures of the governments being executed electronically and Web-based, which is called E-approving. The realization of E-approving will bring many advantages such as improving the working efficiency of the governments, optimizing the approving procedures, better serving the public, and so on.This thesis is based on the author's work in the research and implementation of JB (Jade Bird) E-approving System of National Engineering Research Center of Software Engineering in Peking University. The thesis probes into the development of the system and mainly describes how to modeling the system using object-oriented analysis and object-oriented design methods. Except that, two aspects of research works are discussed in it: One is on how to apply the UML extension mechanisms into the modeling of the E-approving System which is developed based on J2EE technologies. The other is on the software reuse in the E-approving Systems.Firstly, the thesis introduces the main methods and technologies the system adopts, which include object-oriented modeling technologies, UML and its extension mechanism, J2EE. Basing on the Stereotype, one of UML mechanism elements, some new UML elements are created to support the modeling of E-approving System developed by J2EE technologies. Then, taking the Item Approving Sub-system for example, the process of modeling system using object-oriented analysis and design methods is described in detail and the implementation solution of the system is given later. Lastly, based on the analysis of the system models on the point of software reuse view, some reusable analysis components are drawn so that the developing efficiency and software quality of other E-approving systems in the same domain could be improved apparently.
