With the development of city construction and the increase of population density, the earthquake disaster mitigation and prediction has gained more and more attention.Our country is multi-seismic, the earthquake in HaiCheng and TangShan etc. brought tremendous loss to people. We should carry out aim based on the defense. The essential preventive measure is to do well earthquake fortification and improve earthquake resistant behavior of structure.In this paper, the building earthquake disaster according to correlative data of building in actuality is predicted, structure type is marked up, and earthquake damage prediction method is described. Besides, the author take the advantage of VB to compile corresponding programs and bring forward a new way to predict the important buildings by PKPM software. With regard to buildings in the central zone of BaoDing City, the prediction is divided into two parts: one is investigated in detail, the other is predicted by spot check which is to separate BaoDing City into several prediction cell and take out samples to predict.The earthquake will bring economic loss and casualty to people, so other than earthquake disaster prediction, the author also estimates the economic loss and casualty aiming at three probability which is smalK middle and big earthquake respectively.Further, the author introduces the establishment of the database management information system and realization of data inquiry and dynamic renewal etc. Above-mentioned building information as well as prediction results are accumulated in the Access database. The management information system is also compiled by VB and provided with favorable interactive interface, so user can process plentiful data operation.
