Because the Hybrid Power Quality Conditioner (HPQC) that the Power Quality Institute of the North China Electronic Power University developed has some problems on real time and others that need to improve, this paper proposes to develop the two-DSP controller applicable to the United Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC). This scheme can further satisfy the requests of respond rapidity and real time by reasonably using two DSP's resources.In this paper, firstly, the construction and control strategy of the UPQC are exhaustive discussion, then, good control scheme is selected by compare. The control circuit and the signal measure circuit are designed according to the control aims. The control panel in practice is also designed based on the former.Working in the device in field proves the efficiency and the rationality of the circuit. The waveforms and results of the experimentation besides the design flows of some key software are given at the end of the paper. The CPUs that are applied are TMS320F240 and TMS320C32 of TI Co.
