Hardware Technology Research Into V5 Interface Of UAS

Universal Access System(UAS) is one of the major subject of "863 Project"on communication technology. According to the demand of 863 scientific research project, the paper discusses the V5 interface and the El circuit emulation. Also,based on the request of UAS on V5 interface,the 16-line El circuit emulation is realized by using the AAL 1 function of ATM.The paper firstly summarizes the history and developing status of Access Network , and simply describes the demand of UAS and V5 interface.Then, the theory of El circuit emulation and the realization of hardware circuit are introduced in detail.Finally, the performance is tested and the results are analyzed with emphasis on the service delay performance of UAS.
