Caichang' s thoughts of women' s emancipation.Caichang (May, 1900-september, 1990) was born in xiangxiang,hunan (that is shuangfeng county now.) She is a outstandingproletarian revolutionist in China, a pioneer of the women'smovement, a brilliant leader and a famous activist in theinternational progressive women's movement. During more thanseventy years' revolutionary career, she not only threw herself intorevolutionary activities. She also constantly accumulatedexperience in revolutionary practice. Therefore, She formed aseries of ideas about the women's movement. With ideas about thewomen's guiding our practice. The women's movement in China oncedeveloped unprecedentedly and Chinese women' s social position waspromoted to a corresponding extent. This essay aims to provide sometheoretical reference and practical guide for developing our workabout women by analyzing Caichang' s ideas about the women'smovement.There are a great many researches by academic circles aboutCanchang's practical work concerning women. However, There is stillnot enough work which inquires into Canchang's revolutionary ideasas a theory. In general it still lacks comprehensiveness andsystematicness. In view of this, on the basis of extensivelycollecting related historical documents, this essay tries toelaborate the course of Canchang' s revolutionary ideas about women,analyze the connotation of Canchang' s revolutionary ideas about women, summarize the characteristics which Canchang' srevolutionary ideas about women contain and generalize theoreticaland realistic significance of Canchang' s revolutionary ideas aboutwomen. Guided by historical idealism, the essay comprehensivelyapplies a variety of research methods and means such as history,sociology and politics. It is divided into four stages according tothe social and historical conditions about the production ofCanchang's revolutionary ideas about women.
