Research Of Engineering Project Partnering Managemegnt Model

Engineering project management model is the key issue in project management. It changes continuously with the development of society. Partnering Model is a new project management model. It upsurges in western developed countries in 1990s and has achieved great success. However, Partnering Model is still a new concept in China. It hasn't been employed in construction project and only few articles have been introduced.Firstly the comparative research among several project management models has been done in mis thesis. The emerge background, and the operation characteristics of Partnering Model have been elaborated herein. And men, based on the modem project management theory, the operation process of Partnering Model has been discussed systematically and comprehensively from the perspective of proprietor project management. The discussion is made by using the related knowledge of manufacturing industry for reference, for example, the virtual enterprise and strategic alliance theory. At the same time, the characteristics of project management itself are also considered in the discussion; the methods and theories of system and game theory have also been applied in the discussion. The discussion emphasizes on the research of some technologies which are important for partnering model operating successfully, gets the 3 stages model of project cooperative partners selection, the specific step of establishing shared vision, the content of partner agreement system and concrete details of operating it , the scheme of allocating benefit and some important principles of following it , and designs the construction conflict resolution system,These key techniques, that is, the key steps of Partnering Model operation, are what the current project management theory lacks. Owing to the similarity between the construction and other industry, especially the borrowing of the mature and advanced construction theory, though the discussion in this thesis is done purely from the theoretical perspective, it still has important practical value and theoretical significance for the engineering project management which adopts Partnering Model.
