| Objective:To apply the method of Meta-analysis to evaluate whether it contributes positively raising clinical curative effect and reducing the risk of recurrence, by using combination of TCM with Western Medicine to cure adult Primary Nephrotic Syndrome;to put forward objective and reliable evaluation for clinical curative effect of using combined treatment of TCM and western medicine to cure adult Primary Nephrotic Syndrome, and provide foundation for the decision-making in clinical treatments.Methods:Strictly according to the evaluation methodology of evidence-based medicine, we collect a large quantity of clinical randomized control trials of using combined treatment of TCM and glucocorticoids or immune depressant to cure adult Primary Nephrotic Syndrome by manual searching the resources of Internet, books, magazines, etc, and sifting them according to the literature-selection criteria, adopt Jadad score standard to appraise their quality, collect the data of the studies make Meta-analysis, funnel plots and tests for heterogeneity.Results:After retrieving the relative literature and sifting them three times, bring into 12 articles, totally 1097 patients.All of these 12 articles are researches of low quality. Meta-analysis results demonstrated that using combined treatment of TCM and glucocorticoids or immune depressant to cure adult Primary Nephrotic Syndrome could raise clinical curative effects, reduce the risk of recurrence and relieve endocrine side effects.It has statistical and clinical significance.Conclusions:This evaluation system indicated that using combined treatment of TCM and glucocorticoids or immune depressant to cure adult Primary Nephrotic Syndrome could raise clinical curative effect, reduce the risk of recurrence and relieve endocrine side effects.Because of low quality of the articles incorporated in this research, the exact curative effect remains to be testify depending on the large sample.
