To the military central hospital, its direction and core are insuring victory of wars, its foundation and guarantee are the development. Only achieving the objective of insuring victory of wars, the value of military central hospitals will be displayed. Only providing the good service to military officers and soldiers, the direction of military central hospitals will be guaranteed. Only suitably solving the development problem, the military central hospital will have abilities of insuring victory of wars and providing the good service to military officers and soldiers. Study the development strategy of military central hospitals under the market economy still is an important issue.Based on the PLA's No.163 hospital, this paper studies the development problems and strategies for military central hospitals under the market economy. Through analyzing the external environment and internal environment of No.163 Hospital, this paper impersonally evaluates the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of No. 163 Hospital. With the SWOT strategic analysis tools, this paper proposes the development mode (make use of the opportunity and overcome the disadvantages) for military central hospitals. In order to ensure the implementation of development mode, this paper proposes eight specific coordinating strategies:strategies for hospital size, patient satisfaction strategy, information technology strategy, the strategy of hospital culture, talent strategy, discipline-building strategy, technology innovation strategy and business management strategy.Through the combination of theory and practice, the results of this paper will help the military central hospital to enhance its core competitiveness, and obtain some systematic decisions for its long-term development.
