Objective:By means of prospective and retrospective study, it aims to summarize the relationship of gender, age, occupation Hp (Helicobactor Pylori) infection and predisposing factors with Functional Dyspepsia (FD), and distribution of TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine) syndromes as well as its relationship with the type of emotional, SF-36, distribution of Western medicine of FD, thus finding out the regularity of this distribution to guide clinical treatment.Methods:On the basis of literature study, the data of patients'symptoms and signs are got through four diagnostic methods and data base is established by applying epidemiologic methods. Cluster analysis, descriptive statistics and chi-square test are used for statistic purpose, and the regularity of syndrome is summed up as well as the relationship of syndromes with gender, age, occupation, Hp(Helicobactor Pylori) infection and incentives with Functional Dyspepsia (FD) and distribution of TCM syndromes. The association of different TCM syndromes with the type of emotional, SF-36, distribution of Western medicine of FD.Results:Among gathered 331 cases,108 are male, while 223 are female; age ranges from 10 to 76 years old. The syndromes can be categorized into five patterns, namely, disharmony between liver and stomach, internal retention of food and drink, damp-heat accumulated in the spleen-stomach, the deficiency of the spleen-stomach, heat and cold heterogeneous. Among these, disharmony between liver and stomach syndrome is most commonly seen in youngsters and middle-aged, damp-heat accumulated in the spleen-stomach syndrome is with high frequency in young people, while the elderly are more likely to demonstrate spleen deficie the deficiency of the spleen-stomach, syndrome The relationship of different TCM syndromes with various degrees of emotional, SF-36, distribution of Western medicine of FD is of statistical significance.Conclusion:Functional Dyspepsia generally manifest with disharmony between liver and stomach syndrome, major etiological factors are improper diet, excessive emotion and invasion by six exogenous pathogens in excessive climaites. Young people have a high morbidity. excessive emotion is commonly seen patients with disharmony between liver and stomach syndromes.
