Objective:To observe cardiovascular risk factors changes and investigate the effect of Six Drugs Containing Rehmanniae Preparata (SDCRP) and Tablet of ginkgo leaf on the type 2 diabetes on the basis of good control of blood pressure and glucose.Methods:The study was designed with randomized, double-blinded, parallel control method.140 subjects of type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into the treatment group (n=70) and the control group (n=70). Treatment group received SDCRP and Tablet of ginkgo leaf while the control group received the placebo. After 12months'observation,125 subjects completed the trial, including 64 subjects in treatment group and 61 subjects in control group. Demographic data were collected, including fasting blood glucose (FBG), postprandial blood glucose (PBG), glycosylated hemoglobinA1C (HbA1C);total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), high density lipoprotein(HDL), low density lipoprotein(LDL);systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP);urinary microalbumin/creatinine(mALb/Cr) and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP, measured by ELISA).Results:1.The level of FBG,TC,LDL and SBP decreased significantly (P<0.05) in both groups after 12 months'treament. The level of PBG in the treatment group were lower than that of the control group (1.89±0.49 vs 0.11±0.06, P<0.05), and the level of HbA1C significantly decreased in the treatment group (6.50±1.31 vs 6.08±0.90, P<0.05) but no significant differences in the control group (6.58±1.39 vs 6.21±0.83, P>0.05). The level of DBP significantly decreased in the treatment group (75.74±8.94 vs 72.81±7.06, P<0.05) but no significant differences in the control group (77.13±9.11 vs 75.25±7.77, P>0.05). No obvious difference in TG or HDL was observed in both groups(P>0.05).2. After 12 months'treament, the level of urine mALb/Cr significantly decreased in the treatment group (22.87±11.90 vs 15.78±11.56, P<0.05) and the control group (24.48±16.88 vs 17.81±14.26, P<0.05), without significant difference between the two groups(p>0.05). The growth rate of urine mALb/Cr to standard in the trement group were higher than that of the control group(31.6% vs 7.14%, P<0.05).3. Correlation analysis between urine mALb/Cr and cardiovascular risk factors showed that FBG was significantly correlated with urinary mALb/Cr (r=0.284,P=0.0007) at baseline, while hs-CRP was significantly correlated with urinary mALb/Cr (r=0.257, P=0.0042) in 1 year.Conclusion:1. SDCRP and Tablet of ginkgo leaf helps to reduce the level of glucose metabolism and blood pressure.2. SDCRP and Tablet of ginkgo leaf helps to control the progress of microalbuminuria..3.Urine mALb/Cr was closely positive related with FBG and hs-CRP. |
