Case Report Of Epulis With Periodontal Surgery Treatment

Objective:To observe the efficacy of periodontal surgery in the treatment of epulis.Methods:Six cases of epulis after periodontal initial therapy then excise the tumor completely and thoroughly scale to remove plaque of root,infection of cementum and periodontal ligment to reserve the infected teeth.Results:Followed up and evaluated within 3 months, all cases are no more recurrence, good shape of gingival margin and gingival papilla without the formation of periodontal pocket,no obvious loose teeth and have a good masticatory function.Conclusion:Periodontal surgery is on the basis of periodontal initial therapy to reserve the infected teeth then have a good effect of therapy and it's worth to popularize.
