Resarch On Construction Of Therapeutical Principle And Method Ontology Of TCM

After thousands of years'development, Traditional Chinese Medicine has already accumulated a wealth of the chinese medicine information resources. With rapid development of the capability of the computers to manipulate information, Chinese Medicine, as a subject with experience accumulation as major and developing from generation to generation, brings up its development opportunity.Tt is an inevitable tendency that using modern information technology to efficiently organize TCM theoretical knowledge. But in the process of using computer technology to sort out Chinese Medicine knowledge, it is found that lack of criterion constraint seriously restrains the process of its informationalization and standarlization.what's more, TCM resources are not expressed on the knowledge-level, and there is no criterion for terminology definition, which bring great difficulties to searching and sharing of TCM resources. Besides, the relatively simple relationship between the databases can not express the complex relationship in the area of Chinese Medicine.On the basis, National Science Foundation platform Project provides "Traditional Chinese Medicine Unified Language System" (TCMLS).The work of this paper is a part of this project. The main contributions list as follow:First, reconsider the therapeutic principle and method ontology of TCMLS, analysis and research its problem.Second, Study such as deposits, extentions, classifications systems of such accounts of the therapeutic principle concepts from the terminology of Traditional Chinese Medicine therapeutical methods section of National Standard, Chinese Traditional Medicine and material medical subject headings and all kinds of dictionaries and textbooks about chinese medicine, to improve the hierarchical system of class, the scope of terms, and propose the definition rules, etc. Third, use ontology knowledge to discuss the semantic relation of the therapeutical principle and method ontology, perfect the semantic links of it.In this paper, the revised of therapeutical principle and method ontology that provides experiences and methods for the revised of other ontologies, so that complete the revised to whole therapeutical principle and methods of TCM, which plays an active role in building TCM ontology and the development of information of TCM.
