| ObjectiveAcne is one of common dermatosis. It dose not only haam to appearance but also influences people's quality of life. With the improvement of peop le's living standard, people pay more and more attention to their appearan ce. Meanwhile more and more related clinical researches are done. In both t raditional Chinese medicine and western medicine, many methods are used to treat acne with their own advantage. In orde to observe and make a compar ison of two groups of patients with acne in their symptoms, blood-stasis constitution conversion points, blood-stasis quantitative integral taken b oth before and after the treatment. I carried out the clinical research to investigate and prove the technical specifications, safety and efficacy i n order to provide the clinical evidence for promoting this therapy. Research Methods60 patients with acne were collected from acupuncture department outp atients room during 3/2010 to 3/2011, all of whom were given a text and d iagnosed as blood-stasis constitution. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, with both 30 patients in each group. Patients in Treatm ent Group were given acupuncture treatment by both regulating their const itution and ordinary acupuncture treatment. Geshu (BL17), Ganshu (BL18),She nque (RN8), Weizhong (BL40) and Quchi (LI11) were used. Moxibustion on gin ger and salt was used on Shenque (RN8).Two of the other acupoints were de alt with Scraping and blood-letting therapy once a time. Suitable living habits were suggested to the patients. Patients in Control Group accepte d ordinary acupuncture treatment. Yangbai(GB14), Quanliao(SI18), Hegu (LI4), Neiting(ST44) and Dazhui(DU14) were used as main acupoints. Chize (LU5) a nd Fengmen(BL12) were used additionally for those who were diagnosed as w indheat violating the Lung pattern, while for those with dampheat pattern, Zusanli (ST36) and Yinlingquan (SP9) were added, Pishu(BL20) and Fenglong (ST40) were added in phlegm accumulation pattern, Xuehai(SP10) and Daimai (GB26) were added inChong and Ren meridians disorders pattern. All the acu points were used only by acupuncture, and only reduction method were appl ied. All the patients were given treatment once every two day. Symptoms, blood-stasis quantitative integral were calculated both before and after the whole treatment. SAS and SDS indexes were also taken to make a compar ison. SPSS 13.0 software package were used to analysis all the data. Gaussian distribution measurement data was recorded by mean±SD(x±s), an d analyzed by paired T-test and independent samples T-test. Numeration da ta was analyzed by chi-square test (x2 test).Observations1.Acne lesions usual evaluation:cured:N≥95%;produced:95%>N≥70%;e ffective:70%>N≥50%; invalid:50%>N, or acne increased. Skin damage dissi pated rate(N)= [(lesions integral before treatment-lesions integral after treatment)÷lesions integral before treatment]×100%.2. Mark the skin lesions of each case with Global Acne Granding System (GAGS), and calculate the integration of skin lesions before and after the treatment.3. Conversion points of Blood-stasis Constitution items, calculat bef ore and after the treatment.4. Blood-stasis quantitative integrals, calculat before and after the treatment.5. SAS and SDSintegrals, calculat before and after the treatment. ResultsDuring the treatment process,2 case of the treatment group was lost, and 3 of the control group. Therefore, there were 28 patients in the tre atment group and 27 cases in the control group at the end of the treatmen t.1.Synthesized effects:total effective rate of treatment group was 8 9.3%, and it was 59.3% in the control group. There was statistical differ ence between the two groups (P<0.05). Treatment group had better curative effect than the control group.2. After treatment, the lesions integrals of both groups were significa ntly different from the lesions integral before treatment(P<0.05). It sugg ested that the treatment of these two groups both got a curative effect. A fter treatment, the lesions integrals of the two groups were significantly different(P<0.05). It suggested that the curative effect of the treatmen t group was better than the control group.3.Conversion points of Blood-stasis Constitution items:After the trea tment, conversion points decreased significantly in the both groups, comp ared with those before the treatment (P<0.05). Conversion points after th e treatment of the two groups were compared by SPSS, and there was signif icant difference between them (P<0.05), which meant that the constitutio n-regulating treatment made patients'constitution improved.4. Blood-stasis quantitative integrals:After the treatment, Blood-sta sis quantitative integrals decreased significantly in the both groups, co mpared with those before the treatment (P<0.05). Blood-stasis quantitativ e integrals after the treatment of the two groups were compared by SPSS, and there was significant difference between them (P<0.05), which meant that the constitution-regulating treatment made patients'constitution im proved.5. SDS and SAS indexes:SDS and SAS indexes comparison testing were si gnificantly different (P<0.05) in the both group. SDS and SAS indexes aft er the treatment of the two groups were compared by SPSS, and there was s ignificant difference between them (P<0.05), which meant that the consti tution-regulating treatment made patients' constitution improved.ConclusionBoth the treatment and the control group got satisfying therapeutic e ffects, but the treatment group worked better in improving symptoms and t he blood-stasis condition of the acne patients, so as the psychological c hanges. Accordingly, Blood-stasis constitution-regulating therapy was an effective, safe therapy to cure acne. |
