| Objective:To investigate the association among inflammation,OSAHS and OSAHS complicating CIID through observing the serum YKL-40and CRP levels of them. Methods: Based on apnea hypopnea index(AHI) during sleep monitored by polymnography,51 patients with OSAHS were recruited and divided into a simple OSAHS group (n=38)and an OSAHS+CHD group(n=13).15 healthy volunters with matched age and BMI were selected as control group. In addition,18 severe OSAHS patients underwent 1 day of continuous positive airway pressure(CPAP) treatment. The levels of serum YKL-40 and CRP were measured by ELISA.Analysis of variance and Pearson correlation analysis were used for statistics. Results:Compared with the serum YKL-40 and CRP levels in control group[(28.74±8.21) ng/ml, (0.60±0.16) mg/l], there were significant increases in the simple OSAHS group[(56.11±18.68) ng/ml, (1.74±0.76) mg/l], and OSAHS complicating CHD group[(79.54±11.67) ng/ml, (3.40±0.71) mg/ 1].Moreover,there were significant differences in serum YKL-40 and CRP levels between two OSAHS subgroups. The serum YKL-40 and CRP levels of simple OSAHS group and OSAHS complicating CHD group were positively correlated with AHI[(r=0.730,0.848 and r=0.654,0.641)(all P<0.01)],and were negatively correlated with miniSpO2 (r=-0.683,-0.759 and r=-0.686,-0.674(all P<0.01)].After 1 day of CPAP treatment, serum YKL-40 and CRP levels were strikingly declined (P<0.01).Conclusion:The levels of YKL-40 and CRP increased in patients of OSAHS and OSAHS+CHD,which can be related to the stages of atherosclerosis, and may be considered as important factors in developing cardiovascular damage in patients of OSAHS. |
