Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome,OSAHS) refers to the flow of the upper airway during sleep recurring stop or significantly reduce a respiratory disorders. It is the most common sleep-disordered breathing in a pattern, which is characterized by recurrent in the collapse of the upper airway during sleep, along with lower oxygen saturation repeated awakening and daytime sleepiness, in recent years, we come to realize that OSAHS is a systemic disease. Nasal, pharyngeal and glossopharyngeal level stenosis are the common cause of upper airway obstruction, As the location and extent of blockage different from patient to patient, it is definitely important for the treatment of obstructive disease, especially for surgical treatment. Sleep apnea monitoring(polysomnography, PSG) diagnosed with OSAHS as the "golden standard", in conjunction with the use of imaging and other methods can be carried out to determine the site of upper airway obstruction and measuring cross-sectional area; With the development of medical technology, for OSAHS in treatment has made a lot of progress, in the context of treatment with CPAP,individualized behavior intervention and nasal cavity, pharynx and tongue, palate or pharynx single-level multi-faceted complex surgery has been widely carried out in clinical practice, this paper now at home and abroad about the disease Advances in diagnosis and comprehensive treatment were reviewed, and evaluate its strengths and weaknesses to guide clinical treatment.
