Only 74 (8.6%) community physicians imposed that they were familiar with the commonly used inhalers and mastered their application methods. 80.1%community physicians were convinced that patients in stable stage of COPD still needed a long term therapy, but only 24.0% of community physicians professed standard treatment could be provided for them.60% of community physicians known the importance of health education, no smoking, nutrition status and psychological counseling towards the recovery of patients, but only about 40% of them could provide health education to the patients. Among the 865 community physicians,72.9% professed that it is essential to subsume COPD into community chronic disease management,54.6% believed that the Community health service center (station) were capable of administrating the patients of COPD and 55.8% had not participated in the COPD professional training. Conclusion Most of the community physicians known the importance of COPD stabilizing period management and they are willing to strengthen the community management of COPD patients, but due to limited special knowledge and manpower shortage, the COPD patients community management couldn't launch effectively. It was urgently needed to strengthen COPD professional training to community physicians, and promote the COPD cognition and management level.
