Objectives:To investigate the influence of glucocorticoid dependent dermatitis (GDD) was to patients'emotion and the influence of bad emotion to prognosis was of the disease, in the hope of finding relevant factors that effect the development of the disease and the correspondence between psychology and idea of Traditional Chinese Medicine that improper emotional fluctuation could generate disease so as to combine herbal therapy with psychological counseling together to reach full recovery of the patients.Methods:Case-control design was adopted in this retrospective review 50 GDD patients VS 50 non-GDD volunteers were collected from the outpatients as well as through the internet. All the participants were assessed by the SCL-90 scale and questionnaires with different items in both groups. Created database with excel 2003,and all data were analyzed with the SPSS 13.0.Results:1 Risk factors: The drug duration.(Time, T, calculated by months, Wald=9.427, P=0.024,0.05) and way of jackknife using drugs (B=5.547,OR=256.371,P=0.000) can be regarded as risk factors statistically.2. SCL-90 scale scores differences in the two groups of GDD patients and non-GDD patients.(1) Obsessive-compulsive in patient group was a little greater based on the median comparison, and all scores of the other scale indicators, including total score, number of positive item, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, phobic anxiety, psychotism were greater than control group (P<0.05)(2) The statistically significant differences of number of positive item persisted between patient group and group after excluding age confounder.(3) The positive rate in patient group was greater than control group(x2=14.924, P=0.000).(4)Severity of different emotions in patient group were greater than control group, including somatization, Obsessive-compulsive, depression, anxiety, hostility, phobic anxiety, paranoiel ideation, psychotism.3 Comparisons between different TCM patterns and control group in terms of SCL-90 score:The scores of interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, phobic anxiety, psychotism in Heat involving both qi and blood phase group were greater than control group (P<0.0125).Emotion changes of depression and hostility in Blood syndrome group were more serious than control group.4. All of scores of the 9 emotional factors of online group were greater than control group.(P<0.025) 5. Multiple comparisons of the different course groups to control group: Scores of the emotional factors of somatization, anxiety, hostility, phobic anxiety in T2y group were more serious than control group(P<0.0167).6 Differences in the patients from disease group:(1) Patterns of Chinese medicine in the two groups were of no difference (P>0.05for all).(2) No statistically significant difference of emotion was found in the 4 TCM pattern groups(P>0.0083).(3) All of scores of the 9 emotional factors in online group were greater than outpatient group (P<0.05).(4) The course of disease was not linearly correlated with SCL-90 score (P>0.05).Anxiety in T2y group to 1y
