Objective To explode the epidermal barrier structure and function changes in Glucocorticoid-Dependent Dermatitis, and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of skin care products containing the extract from seed oil of prinsepia utilis and purslane (trade name:WINONA Sensitive Skin Relief Series) in repairing epidermal barrier in Glucocorticoid-Dependent Dermatitis. Methods 1. Selected totally 13 Glucocorticoid-Dependent Dermatitis patients and 10 healthy people to observe the histopathological changes, changes of expression of K10, K14, K15, loricrin, filaggrin, involucrin, acid ceramidasel and the quantity and density variations of lamellar bodies in granular layer between patients and healthy people by HE stain, immunohistochemistry and electro microscope.2.60 Glucocorticoid-Dependent Dermatitis patients were enrolled in the study. They were separated in tow groups randomly,30 patients in each group. The control group external use zinc oxide ointment while the test group external use WINONA Sensitive Skin Foaming Cleanser, Refresh Water and Sensitive Skin Moisturizing Lotion twice a day for a month, all of the patients didn't took any oral drug. We detected water content, sebum and transepidermal water loss (TEWL) on the lesions, observed lesions changes and evaluated the safety of these products at the first visit and one month later. Results 1. The patients are in non-specific inflammation appearances histopathologically; the expression of K10, K14, K15, loricrin, filaggrin, involucrin and acid ceramideasel decreased obviously, the differences are of statistic significance(P<0.05); the quantity and density of lamellar bodies in granular layer decreased much under electro microscope.2. Compared with the control group, after one month treatment with WINONA Sensitive Skin Relief Series, the water content of the test group on lesions increased from 19.33±4.67 to 31.65±3.24, the sebum increased from 77.50±14.55 to 111.9±10.88, and TEWL decreased from 29.71±5.81 to 14.56±5.90, the differences were of statistic significance(P<0.05); the lesions relieved much(P<0.05); and there were no adverse reactions under examination.Conclude 1. The epidermal barrier of Glucocorticoid-Dependent Dermatitis is dramatically destroyed, repair epidermal barrier is important for successful treatment in Glucocorticoid-Dependent Dermatitis.2. The skin care products containing the extract from seed oil of prinsepia utilis and purslane (trade name:WINONA Sensitive Skin Relief Series) are effective and safe in repairing epidermal barrier in Glucocorticoid-Dependent Dermatitis.
