Studies On Chemical Conconstitutents Of Petroleum Extract From Kangaisan

Kangaisan, which is mixed by Oldenlandia diffusa Roxh, fruit of Polygonum orientale L. and so on, is the compound of traditional Chinese medicine. Clinical research indicated that Kangaisan had obvious anti-tumor effects to a series of cancers. Recently, some research had showed that the fruit of Polygonum orientale L. had notable anti-tumor effect.this thesis was focus on the physical base of Kangaisan.This thesis was studied under the guidance of TCM theory, Through interdisciplinary research methods, respectively biologicalscreening results demonstrated that The Petroleum extract exhibited better antitumor activities on high dose.The Petroleum extract of dry entire plant of Kangaisan was isolated by column chromatography and identified by physical and spectral analysis.Five compounds were isolated, includedβ-sitosterol(Ⅰ), ursolic acid (Ⅱ),4,4',8,8'-tetrahydroxy-3, 3'-dimethoxyl-dibenzyl-ditetrahydrofuran)(Ⅲ), cholesteryl ethyl carbonate (Ⅳ), 5-cholesten-3beta-yl 3-phenylpropionate (Ⅴ), Compond cholesteryl ethyl carbonate (Ⅳ) and 5-cholesten-3beta-yl 3-phenylpropionate (Ⅴ) were discovered firstly from Kangaisan.GC-MS method was adopted to have identified 20 constituents from the Petroleum extract.Fingerprint is a good technology to evaluate the quality of herbal medicine. The main active fraction was extracted by Petroleum, and the GC Fingerprint was studied,20 peaks were assigned as common peaks in the spectrum. The analysis method provided certain scientific parameter to control the quality of Kangaisan.
