Kangaisan, which is mixed by Oldenlandia diffusa Roxh, fruit of Polygonum orientate L. and so on, is the compound of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Clinical research results indicated that Kangaisan had obvious anti-tumor effects to a series of cancers. Recently, some research had showed that the fruit of Polygonum orientale L. had notable anti-tumor effect.For the sake of complexity, it is singularly of the research on phytochemistry of compounds. In this paper, the effective chemical compound group of kangaisan had been systematically researched with the guidance of Chinese medical theory. The research method of subject-across such as plant chemistry, pharmacology and molecular biology, was utilized to expose the anti-tumor mechanism and substantial basis of kangaisan. Pharmacological research indicated that the extraction parts of n-Butanol and ethyl acetate. We had separated 5 chemical compounds; and the chemical compound II(n-butyl-β-D-fructopyranOside) was the firstly found in the prescription. At the same time, it has effective anti-tumor effect. In proceed, the substantial base research is legible for the sake of tracing inspection of MTT colorimetry.we used flowcytometry and Agarose gel elctrophoresis techniques to dicuss the anti-tumor mechanism of chemical compound II(n-butyl-β-D-fructopyranoside) further. The result indicated that this chemical compound accelerates the apoptosis proceed of cancer cell Bel-7402; it was functioned during the cell's S period and then prevented cell multiplication.Traditional Chinese compound medicines are unequal to the simply accumulation of each composition for their intrinsic functions. We had analyzed and compared the contents of Ginseng saponin Rg1 in compounds, Panax pseudo-ginseng Wall. Var. hotog inseng Hoo & Tseng and Panax quinquefolius L. with HPLC. The result showed that the content in compound is higher than the sum of that in each composition.Under the condition of systematically research on kangaisan, we prepared chitosan nanoparticles contained Notoginseng saponin Rg1 and researched the controlled release property in vitro. On one hand, nanoparticles can keep the integrated structure in gastricintestinal tract; on the other hand, it has the advantage to decrease the toxicity of anti-tumor drugs, so it has potential applied prospective. Our present research have established relative basis for the research of new pharmaceutical preparations of traditional Chinese medicine.
