Clinical Investigations On The Treatment Of Primary Dysmenorrhea Of Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis With Yueshufang Formula

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Yueshufang (YFS)Formula on treating Primary Dysmenorrhea(PD)of qi stagnation and blood stasis,and to explore its mechanism of action.Method:Choose 100 patients who belong to PD of qi stagnation and blood stasis.Divided them randomly into test group(50 cases,treated with YFS Formula),and control group(50 cases,treated with Danefukangjiangao Plaster).Both groups started at 4 days before the menstrual period and lasted 7 days,a course contained 3 menstrual cycles.Before and after treatment,the therapeutic effects on PD, symptom of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),the change of the uterine blood circulation,the blood rheology,and the value of PGF2αin the menstrual blood would be compared.Results:The cure markedly effective rate of the treatment group is 76.00%, and the total effective rate is 96.00%. While the cure markedly effective rate of the control group is 52.00%, and the total effective rate is 76.00%.The therapeutic effect on PD has difference between 2 groups (P<0.05).The TCM symptom of the test group and control group is significantly different (P<0.05).After the YFS Formula treatment, the uterine artery blood flow and the average flow speed were both increased, the PI,RI,A/B were all decreased(P<0.05),while the indexes of blood rheology were significantly decreased(P<0.05), and the PGF2a level was obviously deceasded (P<0.05) additionally.Conclusion:YSF is an effective recipe in treating PD of qi stagnation and blood stasis,which improve the clinical symptom.The effect can be achieved by improving basin antrum blood circle and reducing blood resistance, improving blood viscosity and microcirculation of pelvis cavity, reducing the thickness and increasing fluidity of the blood, and decreasing the content of PGF2αin the menstrual blood.
