Objectives:To investigate the alteration of serum myocardial enzymes in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) in children before and after the operation, to judge its impact of cardiac function, to evaluate the effects of adenotonsillectomy on OSAHS, and put forward theoretical evidences for the prevention of the complications of OSAHS as well as the protective treatment of the illness.Method:1.A total of 90 OSAHS children were selected, of which there were 30 cases with mild OSAHS,30 with moderate and 30 severe OSAHS one month after adenotonsillectomy, and another 30 healthy children having medical examination at child care department as controls. Polysomnogruphy(PSG)was administered to the patients of the first two groups.2. Collect the venous blood of the patients and test the serum myocardial enzymes of each group by automatic biochemistry analyzer and compared with each other.3. The correlation among serum myocardial enzymes, apnea hypopnea index (AHI) and lowest oxygen saturations (LSaO2) were analyzed by statistical methods.Results:1.Result of PSG:There was a statistical difference in AHI(P<0.05) and LSaO2 I(P<0.05) of moderate or severe OSAHS children before and after operation;2.The serum myocardial enzymes in mild, moderate and severe groups increased significantly comparing with the group in control (P<0.05, P<0.05);3.The serum myocardial enzymes decreased obviously in moderate and severe OSAHS children after the operation in comparing with that before the operation (P<0.05).While there was no significant differences in the serum myocardial enzymes between controlling group and moderate and severe group after the operation.(P>0.05);4.The serum myocardial enzymes in OSAHS children increased with the progression of AHI and hypoxia, and there was a positive correlation between the myocardial enzymes and AHI(P<0.05).However there was a negative correlation between the myocardial enzymes and LSaO2 (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. The recurrent onset of hypoxemia and acidosis in OS AHA patients during sleep period may be one of the reasons for myocardial function damage;2.With the increase in intensity of hypoxia of OSAHS children, the myocardial function damage may aggravate;3. Obstruction palliation after adenotonsillectomy is one of the effective methods in treating OSAHS.
