Study On The Relationship Between Hyperuricemia And Cardiovascular Events

Background& Objectives:For the past few years, along with growth in the living standard, the level of serum uric acid (UA) and the prevalence of hyperuricema (HUA) rose remarkably fior our country inhabitant. Besides the rel-ationship of gout, gouty nephropathy,the HUA is also affinitive with some cardiovascular events, such as hypertensive disease, coronary he-art disease, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction and so on.The nu-merous of Serum uric acid is paranormal, but no gout attack,called asymptomatic hyperuricaemia in the clinic, When the numerous of Se-rum uric acid less than 540μmol/L (9mg/dl), it's no need special tr-eatment. In this paper, we could determine the optimal treatment occ-asion by the observation of the relationship between in various levels of serum uric acid and cardiovascular events, and accordingly reduce the harm for the reason of the cardiovascular events.Methods:7751 subjects who enter a routine health examination in our hos-pital from Dalian City from 2008-2009 were sampled, mean age 54.96±13.1 years old, Collecting personal information and data, including age,sex,SUA,fasting blood glucose (FBG), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG),Systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pre-ssure (DBP),electrocardiogram (ECG) and past history of cardiovascu-lar disease.7751 subjects were divided in groups according to the le-vels of serum uric acid,7211 cases is non-hyperuricemia group,1186 cases is HUA group, and gather statistics of occurrence of cardiovasc-ular events in various levels of serum uric acid level. Result:1.15.3%of subjects had hyperuricemia. The age,sex (male), FBG, TC,TG, and cardiovascular events in HUA group was higher than the non-hyperuricemia group, the difference possesses statistical significan-ce (P<0.05)2. The difference of SBP,DBP,FBG and TG possess statistical sig-nificance (P< 0.05) between HUA group and non-hyperuricemia group.3.The dependability analysis between HUA group and each resear-ch index:UA shows direct correlation with sex, cardiovascular events, blood glucose, TG and cholesterol.4.The prevalence had significant difference (P<0.05) between HUA group and non-hyperuricemia group which incorporate the hypertensi-on, R-wave high voltage, ST—T abnormity, T-wave transform, intra-ventricular block, arrhythmia, sinoatrial block or atrioventricular block, remote myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease. The prevalence had no significant difference (P>0.05) between HUA group and non-hyperuricemia group which incorporate other ECG abnormity(Sinus ta-chycardia, sinus bradycardia, sinus arrhythmia).5. The prevalence of cardiovascular events is maximum when the numerous of Serum uric acid is between 420-479μmon/L.6.UA≥540μmon/L,male,hyperglycemia,hypercholesterolemia,hypertrig lyceridemic,each one is the independent risk factors of cardiovascular events.Conclusion:When UA≥420μmon/L (7mg/dl), the prevalence of cardiovascu-lar events rose remarkably. When UA>540μmon/L (9mg/dl),it is one of the independent risk factors of HUA.
