Objective: To observe the difference of short-term efficacy of implants in periodontitis patients and periodontally healthy subjects. Provide a theoretical basis for implant in periodontitis patients. Methods: Select 40 random implants samples of stable condition with chronic periodontitis patients and 40 random implants samples in periodontally healthy subjects. They will be divided into Group A (periodontitis group) and B (healthy group) and each group of implants will be detected the modification sulcus bleeding index, meliorate plaque index, calculus index, mobility index, probing depth, bone loss after the load of 6 months and 12 months. Reckon implant retention rate after the load of 12 months. Compare the difference of the indicators between the two groups and the difference of indicators in each group after the load of 6 months and 12 months.Result:1. There is no significant difference of implant retention rate after the load of 12 months between periodontitis group and healthy group (P>0. 05).2. The clinical indicators are not significantly different after the load of 6 months and 12 months between periodontitis group and healthy group (P>0. 05).3. There is significant difference of bone loss in periodontitis group after the load of 12 months and that of 6 months (P<0. 05).Conclusion: Stable condition in patients with chronic periodontitis can be implanted, while short-term effect are no difference to healthy group. Long-term effect remains to be seen.
