An Analysis Of 200 Cases Of Geriatric Tumor

Purpose: To analyse the epidemiology and clinical characteristics of senior adult cancers.Method: To review the senior cancer case reports during the past 3 years in our hospital and Random select 200 cases to analyse the clinical characteristics and treatment procedure.Results: The top 3 highest incidence type of cancers are lung cancer,colon and rectum cancers and head-neck cancers in senior adult patients with cancer.There were 53.5% senoir adult patitents received treatment of surgery among 200 cases during the past 3 years, 34% of chemotherapy and 13% of radiotherapy,46.5% patients were given palliative treatments only.Conclusion: Chronologic age alone does not prevent senoir adult patients form receiving treatment such as chemotherapy and care in line with best practice.Suitability for treatment should be determinde by assessment of functional status,preformance status,life expectancy and existing comorbidities.
